Axel Thorsen 1810 – Norwegian Gunboat Card Model Kit 1:72 (Seahorse)
Product Description
The Axel Thorsen 1810 is a highly detailed 1:72 scale card model kit depicting a historic Norwegian gunboat from the early 19th century. Designed by T. Weremko and published by Seahorse, this model faithfully represents one of Norway’s most versatile naval vessels of the Napoleonic era.
Launched in 1810, Axel Thorsen served alongside her twin Skjøn Walborg in patrol duties, Arctic exploration, cartographic missions, and quarantine enforcement during the cholera outbreaks in Arkhangelsk. The vessel later took part in polar expeditions to Svalbard and extensive hunting voyages to Novaya Zemlya, before both ships were tragically lost in the ice in 1872.
This kit is available as Model Kit Only or as a Full Set, offering advanced builders an immersive and historically rich modelling experience. With a finished length of 48 cm and height of 25 cm, Axel Thorsen makes an impressive display piece for any maritime or naval collection.
