The Armoured Cruiser Bayan 1:200 Card Model Kit by Orel Publishing represents one of the finest armoured cruisers of the early 20th-century Russian Navy. Originally constructed in France for the Russian government and commissioned in 1903, Bayan became the benchmark for her class and the ancestor of the largest series of Russian pre-revolutionary armoured cruisers.

During the Russo-Japanese War, Bayan played a vital role in the defense of Port Arthur, participating in combat missions against Japanese cruisers, torpedo boats, and heavy artillery. Despite suffering multiple direct hits from large-caliber shells, the cruiser remained operational until November 1904, when she was finally sunk in Port Arthur harbor. Later salvaged by Japan, the ship served in the Japanese fleet before being converted into a minelayer and ultimately sunk in 1932.
