Product Description:
Build a piece of maritime history with the HMV Card Model Kit of the Container Ship Conti Belgica (1/250, 103366). Originally built in 1978 at the J.J. Sietas shipyard in Hamburg, the Conti Belgica was designed as a multipurpose and heavy cargo freighter with a capacity of 150 containers. Throughout her career she sailed under several names including Martinique and Ville de Aurora, before regaining her original name. Sadly, she sank in 1987 off the coast of Oman due to bad weather.
This detailed paper model kit by HMV allows you to recreate the Conti Belgica in miniature scale. Designed by Peter Brandt, the kit comes with 929 precision-cut parts across 10 DIN A4 sheets, with 585 essential parts for the core build. The finished model measures 396 mm long, 72 mm wide, and 123 mm high. With instructions in German and English, plus picture guides, this kit offers a rewarding challenge for intermediate model builders.
Perfect for collectors, naval enthusiasts, and fans of historical ships, this model is a true highlight in the HMV shipping series.
