The model represents IJN Akashi in her 1942 wartime configuration, when she operated as a mobile repair facility supporting the Japanese Combined Fleet.

At approximately 792.5 mm (31.2") long, this substantial 1:200 scale model features Akashi's distinctive superstructure, large cranes, workshop and repair equipment, deck machinery, boats and numerous deck fittings.

The dedicated laser-cut frame assists with accurate hull construction, while the laser-cut detail set provides precision-cut components for many of the model's finer details.
