Product Description
Build a highly detailed replica of IJN Asashio, lead ship of the Asashio-class destroyers of the Imperial Japanese Navy.

The model represents IJN Asashio in her 1942 wartime configuration, finished in the characteristic dark grey colour scheme of the Imperial Japanese Navy. Asashio was a powerful Japanese fleet destroyer armed with six 127 mm guns and eight 610 mm torpedo tubes carrying the famous Type 93 “Long Lance” torpedoes.
The kit features a detailed bridge and superstructure, main and anti-aircraft armament, torpedo equipment, boats, davits and extensive deck fittings. The included laser-cut frame simplifies construction of the hull structure, while the laser-cut detail set adds precision to many of the model's finer components.
At approximately 575 mm (22.6") long, IJN Asashio makes an impressive display model and an excellent project for intermediate and advanced card modellers.
