Product Description

Build a detailed scale replica of the Nakajima NC Type 91, an important early fighter aircraft of the Imperial Japanese Army Air Service, with this 1:33 scale card model kit from Orel (No. 389).

Developed in Japan and introduced in 1931, the Nakajima Type 91 was one of the first Japanese Army fighters to enter substantial series production. Approximately 420 aircraft were built between 1931 and 1934. The fighter saw service with Japanese aviation units, including operations in Manchuria, before being gradually replaced by more modern aircraft during the second half of the 1930s.

The Type 91 featured a distinctive parasol-wing configuration, fixed landing gear and an open cockpit, giving it the characteristic appearance of military aircraft developed during the transition from the biplane era to more modern monoplane fighters.

This Orel 1:33 scale paper model kit is supplied on 12 A4 sheets and offers an average level of detail, making it an interesting project for card model builders and collectors of early Japanese military aviation.
