Product Description

Build a detailed scale replica of the Odys, a Polish Project H2500 harbour tug, with this 1:100 scale card model kit from Orel (No. 364).

Odys was a modified H2500-type harbour tug designed by the Design and Technology Bureau of Marine Repair Shipyards "Prorem" and built at the Naval Shipyard in Gdynia, Poland. Representing Polish civilian maritime engineering of the 1980s, this compact working vessel makes an interesting addition to any collection of tugboats, harbour craft and Polish ships.

One of the most notable episodes in the tug's service came in the spring of 1988, when Odys took part in the operation to recover the Polish container ship Inowrocław, which had grounded in shallow water near Cape Skagen, Denmark. Odys participated alongside the tugs Rosomak, Neptunia and Argus, as well as the floating crane Krab.
