Product Description

Build a detailed replica of the Sukhoi Su-6, an experimental Soviet armoured ground-attack aircraft developed during the Second World War, with this 1:33 scale card model kit from Orel (No. 197).

Designed by the experimental design bureau of renowned Soviet aircraft designer Pavel Sukhoi, the Su-6 was developed as a heavily armed and armoured low-altitude assault aircraft. The prototype demonstrated good manoeuvrability and promising performance. However, development ultimately ended after the competing Ilyushin Il-10, powered by the same AM-42 engine, achieved superior results during testing in 1944 and was selected for production.

This Orel paper model offers an interesting medium-difficulty build for aviation and military modelling enthusiasts. The model includes a detailed cockpit interior, adding extra realism to the completed aircraft. Although there are no written assembly instructions, the construction process is clearly presented through very detailed assembly diagrams.

Printed across 12 A4 sheets and designed in the popular 1:33 aircraft modelling scale, the Su-6 makes an unusual addition to any collection of Soviet, WWII or experimental aircraft models.
