Build an impressive replica of the Sukhoi Su-9, one of the Soviet Union's early experimental jet aircraft, with this detailed 1:33 scale card model kit from Orel (No. 129).

Developed in 1946, the experimental Su-9 was designed during the rapid transition from piston-powered aircraft to jet aviation. The prototype was powered by RD-10 engines derived from the German Junkers Jumo 004 and made its first flight on 13 November 1946. Although the aircraft showed promising performance, the project did not enter production as Soviet development priorities shifted towards other early jet fighters, including the Yak-15 and MiG-9.

The Su-9 featured a twin-engine configuration and an appearance often compared with the German Messerschmitt Me 262, making it a particularly interesting subject for enthusiasts of early jet aviation and experimental Soviet aircraft.
