The model represents USS Baltimore (CA-68) in her 1944 wartime configuration, during her service in the Pacific theatre of World War II.

At approximately 1,030 mm (40.6") long when completed, this is a substantial 1:200 scale warship model. The kit recreates Baltimore's distinctive profile, powerful armament, complex superstructure, aircraft facilities and extensive deck equipment in impressive detail.

The model can be constructed with a full underwater hull or as a waterline model, allowing builders to choose between a traditional display model or a ship suitable for a naval diorama.

USS Baltimore's formidable armament is represented by her nine 8-inch (203 mm) guns arranged in three triple turrets, together with twelve 5-inch (127 mm) secondary guns and extensive anti-aircraft weaponry.
