Build a detailed scale replica of the UT-1 (AIR-14), a Soviet single-seat training and aerobatic aircraft developed during the 1930s. This 1:33 scale paper model kit from Orel (038) is an excellent addition to any collection of historic Soviet and military aviation models.

The UT-1 was designed as a small, single-seat low-wing monoplane with an open cockpit, intended primarily for advanced pilot training and as a transitional aircraft for future fighter pilots. Its excellent manoeuvrability and aerobatic performance made it highly regarded among Soviet pilots.

Serial production began in 1936, with 1,241 aircraft produced between 1937 and 1940. The UT-1 was also used to establish a number of international aviation records for speed, range and altitude. Its impressive handling characteristics made it an important aircraft in Soviet pilot training before the Second World War.
