Originally designed by Peter Brandt and later updated by Andreas Jacobsen, this kit allows you to recreate either the Rungholt or her sister ship Nordfriesland. Despite its fine detailing, the model is suitable for beginners and experienced modelers alike, making it a rewarding project for all papercraft enthusiasts.

The kit includes 785 parts on 8 DIN A4 sheets, with precise laser-printed details and a clear step-by-step instruction manual in German and English with pictures. The finished model measures 270 mm long, 60 mm wide, and 85 mm high, perfectly scaled for dioramas or display cases.

The real ferryboat Rungholt was built in 1992 at Husumer Schiffswerft (HSW), serving the North Frisian islands. With a capacity of 1,190 passengers and 53 vehicles, and powered by two MaK engines delivering 1,920 kW, she is a strong and reliable vessel for short coastal voyages.
