Product Description
Build a detailed scale replica of the Anasal reconnaissance aircraft, an early military aircraft developed during the First World War, with this 1:33 scale paper model kit from Orel (018).
The Anasal was developed at the aircraft factory founded by Artur Anatra in Odessa. The prototype made its first flight in July 1916, with series production beginning the following year. Approximately 60–70 aircraft were produced, serving between 1917 and 1920.
Designed as a reconnaissance aircraft, the Anasal was comparable in its main performance characteristics to other contemporary aircraft such as the Farman F.30 and German Albatros designs. Its distinctive First World War appearance, biplane construction and early military aviation history make it an interesting subject for aircraft modellers.
This Orel model represents one of the early production Anasal aircraft in period camouflage. The kit is printed across 10 A4 sheets and has been designed with relatively straightforward construction, making it suitable for modellers who are new to card modelling as well as more experienced builders interested in WWI aviation.
