The Comet was a series of high-speed passenger hydrofoil vessels designed for operation on both inland waterways and coastal sea routes. These distinctive vessels operated across the Black Sea, Sea of Azov, Baltic Sea and Caspian Sea, with examples also exported to countries including Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Italy and Cuba, as well as destinations in Africa and Latin America.

Designed to combine passenger capacity with impressive speed, the Comet could reach approximately 35 knots in favourable conditions. Its hydrofoil configuration allowed the hull to rise above the water at speed, reducing drag and giving the vessel its characteristic high-speed performance.
