The completed model measures an impressive 899.5 mm (35.4") long and can be constructed with a full underwater hull or as a waterline model. It features a highly detailed flight deck and supporting structure, anti-aircraft weapons, ship's boats, deck equipment and 9 aircraft representing two types.
The publication contains 39 A3 sheets, including 28 pages of model parts and 133 assembly drawings. The dedicated structural frame is supplied on 10 laser-cut sheets, helping simplify construction of this large and complex carrier.
IJN Ryujo served extensively during the early Pacific War before being sunk on 24 August 1942 during the Battle of the Eastern Solomons.
