Product Description
Build a detailed 1:200 scale Imperial Russian Navy protected cruiser with this complete modelling set from Avangard No. 18 (AVA-018).
This is an alternative-version kit, allowing you to build ONE of two sister ships:
Жемчуг (Zhemchug / “Pearl”) OR Изумруд (Izumrud / “Emerald”)
The package includes the original printed card model together with its dedicated laser-cut structural frame and laser-cut detail set.
Both cruisers served with the Russian Second Pacific Squadron during the Russo-Japanese War and survived the Battle of Tsushima in May 1905. Their histories later diverged: Izumrud was destroyed by her crew after running aground, while Zhemchug continued in service until she was sunk by SMS Emden at Penang in 1914.
With a finished length of approximately 549.5 mm, detailed armament, boats, funnels, deck equipment and extensive rigging, this is an impressive project for experienced card modellers and collectors of historic warships.
