Product Description:
Build a piece of maritime history with the HMV Steam Icebreaker STETTIN Card Model Kit (103327). This highly detailed papermodel from Hamburger Modellbaubogen Verlag accurately replicates the legendary German steam icebreaker STETTIN, which has become one of Hamburg’s most beloved museum ships.
Originally launched in 1933 as the largest German icebreaker, the STETTIN served on the Oder River and Szczecin Lagoon, later moving to Hamburg where she worked until 1981. Preserved by the Förderverein Eisbrecher Stettin e.V., she remains in operation as a living monument of maritime engineering.
This 1:250 scale model, designed by Peter Brandt, captures every authentic detail of the real vessel — from the filigree davits and detailed winches to the bridge interior and realistic masts and rigging. With 635 finely crafted parts printed on three DIN A4 sheets, this is a challenging and rewarding build for experienced modelers.
