Product Description

Build a detailed scale replica of one of the most important Soviet fighters of World War II with the Orel Yak-9D Card Model Kit in 1:33 scale.

The Yakovlev Yak-9 was introduced in 1942 and became the most widely produced Soviet fighter family of the Second World War. Developed from the earlier Yak fighter designs, it combined relatively light construction with good handling and performance at low and medium altitudes.

The Yak-9D was developed as a longer-range version of the fighter. Additional fuel capacity increased its maximum range to approximately 1,400 km, making it better suited to supporting Soviet offensive operations as the front moved westward. Production of the Yak-9D began in 1943 and continued into 1944, with 3,068 aircraft of this variant produced.

This Orel No. 110 paper model recreates the Yak-9D at an impressive 1:33 scale. The kit is supplied on 10 A4 sheets and provides aviation and card-modelling enthusiasts with an interesting project representing an important aircraft of Soviet WWII aviation.
