Product Description
The Card Model Kit 209 General Admiral Apraksin by Orel Publishing presents a highly detailed paper model of a historic Russian Coast Defence Battleship from the late 19th century. Designed in 1:200 scale, this advanced naval model accurately represents the ship as it appeared during its active service in the Russian Imperial Navy.
Originally laid down in St. Petersburg in 1895, General Admiral Apraksin was the third vessel of the Admiral Ushakov class. The battleship famously took part in the Battle of Tsushima (1905) as a member of the Second Pacific Squadron. After the battle, the ship was captured by Japan, commissioned into the Imperial Japanese Navy under the name IJN Okinosima, and remained in service until being scrapped in 1939.
This edition is an improved and upgraded version of the original model, enhanced by Aleksandr Kustov. It features corrected historical colours, refined textures, realistic wooden deck details, and accurately painted bronze elements. The kit includes English-language instructions, making it accessible to international modelers.
Ideal for experienced paper model builders, naval history enthusiasts, and collectors of historical warships.
