Originally launched in 1908 at the Janssen & Schmilinski shipyard in Hamburg, the Schaarhörn served as a sounding and survey steamer (“Peil- und Bereisungsdampfer”) and later as an auxiliary minesweeper during World War I. Today, she proudly sails as a museum ship in the Port of Hamburg, representing a true symbol of maritime engineering and elegance.
