Product Description

Build a detailed scale replica of one of Britain’s most famous pre-war fighters with the Gloster Gladiator Mk.I 1:33 Paper Model Kit from Orel (No. 379).

The Gloster Gladiator was a British biplane fighter developed from the earlier Gloster Gauntlet. Powered by the Bristol Mercury radial engine and featuring improved aerodynamics, the Gladiator entered production in 1936, with deliveries to the Royal Air Force beginning in 1937. It became the RAF’s last biplane fighter and its first fighter to feature an enclosed cockpit.

Although introduced at a time when modern monoplane fighters were rapidly emerging, the Gladiator remained in service during the early years of the Second World War and saw combat in several theatres. A total of 747 Gladiators were built in various versions for British and overseas service.

This Orel 1:33 scale card model recreates the Gloster Gladiator Mk.I with a medium level of detail. The model is printed on 12 A4 sheets and features metallic printing, adding an attractive finish to the completed aircraft.
